Certified Graduate Builder (CGB)

This designation from the National Association of Home Builders focuses on effective management in the office and on the job site, covering all stages of new construction. Topics include scheduling, estimating, job cost procedures, accounting principles and basic contract law. There are several required courses and agreement to the CGB Code of Ethics Pledge to obtain the certification.

Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS)

The Certified Aging in Place Specialist designation acknowledges the technical, business management, and customer service skills to compete in the fastest growing segment of the residential remodeling industry – home modifications for aging in place.

Certified Green Professional (CGP)

The Certified Green Professional™ designation recognizes builders, remodelers and other industry professionals who incorporate green building principles into homes – without driving up the cost of construction. Classwork leading to the designation provides a solid background in green building methods, as well as the tools to reach consumers, from the organization leading the charge to provide market driven green building solutions to the home building industry.

Graduate Master Builder (GMB)

The ultimate symbol of the building professional, the Graduate Master Builder designation is for experienced veterans only. Before beginning the GMB designation process, you must have the CGB or CGR designation with five years of building experience, or ten years of building experience and successful completion of three CGB.CGR courses.

Master Certified Green Professional

As green and high performance construction turns to the mainstream, experienced green industry professionals seek an educational designation that signifies their long-standing commitment to and experience with sustainable building and remodeling. They find it with the Master Certified Green Professional (Master CGP) designation.

EPA Lead-Safe Certified Contractor

The Environmental Protection Agency’s Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule (RRP Rule) requires that contractors performing renovation, repair and painting projects that could disturb lead-based paint in homes, child care facilities and pre-schools built before 1978 be EPA Certified. Schneider Construction, LLC is an EPA Lead-Safe Certified Contractor.
